MANAGEMENT PROFILE

Adekunle Faleti – AG. Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Faleti is a career Mortgage Banker and has a total of 20 years experience in the real estate finance / mortgage banking sector covering credit risk management, underwriting, processing, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, secondary marketing, post closing, client relationship management and product development.

He holds a HND (Upper Credit) from Yaba College of Technology and Executive Education Program (International Housing Finance and Securitization) from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. In addition he has several international professional certifications in mortgage processing, mortgage underwriting, fair lending and real estate appraisal underwriting. He is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management.

He has worked with UBA Plc as Group Head, Mortgages. Prior to this, he was a Senior Loan Processor, Supervisor and later Assistant Vice President in charge of Retail Mortgage Processing at Chevy Chase Bank in Maryland, USA. Mr. Kunle has also worked as Loan Processor and later Senior Loan Processor at Wachovia Bank, Maryland, USA.

Grace Emetu – Head, Business Development & Mortgage Finance
Grace Emetu has over 18 years of banking and financial services experience. She started her career as a deputy treasury manager with Corporate Leasing and Commerce (CL&C) in 1990. She became a customer service supervisor with Firstar Bank (now US Bancorp) in November 1995 and advanced to the role of a Private Banking relationship Manager in 1997. From 1998 to 2008 she worked in various roles within Fidelity investments, US number one mutual fund and discount brokerage firm catering specifically to High net worth clients. Ms Emetu is a registered member of the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD), and has extensive experience in business development, mortgage origination and processing, collateralized mortgage obligations (CMO’s), stock option & pension fund administration, treasury management, financial brokerage, Investment consultancy, Credit administration and retail banking operations. She is currently pursuing her MBA program with University of Phoenix.

Godwin Obeya – Head, Finance & Operations
Godwin graduated in accounting from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He also possesses a Masters Degree in Accounting and Finance. He is an Associate member of Institute of Chartered. Accountants of Nigeria.

Prior to joining Diamond bank in 2001, Godwin had worked in All States Trust Bank as an Internal Control and Loan Review Officer.

While in Diamond Bank Plc, he served in several branches and departments of the Bank including the Internal Control Unit. He has attended several courses such as Credit Risk management; Problem Solving and Decision making skill, and Leadership Development course, et cetera.

He was however seconded to Diamond mortgages limited where he is presently occupying the post of Head, Finance and Operations.

Athanatius Nkemneme - Head, Construction Finance & Project
Born in 1972, Athan holds a B. Sc. Honours degree in Statistics from Abia State University, Uturu and is currently pursuing his MBA in Marketing with the University of Lagos. He is a member of the Nigeria Institute of management.

Athan had worked in Finacorp Building society Ltd, hallmark Homes Ltd and Abbey Building Society Ltd before joining diamond Mortgages Limited in 2007.

He has attended several courses including Creating cheap Mortgage in Nigeria at the Lagos Business School and Fundamental Principles of Credit at Evergreen Associates. He is presently the Head, Construction Financing and Project of Diamond Mortgages Limited

Sunday Edward-Okorobo – Head, Risk Management, Control & Compliance

Sunday started his working career with Akintola Williams Deloitte & Touché (now Deloitte & Touché) in 1997 and specialized in audit, taxation and management consultancy. 

In 2004, He joined Diamond Bank as a Resident Internal Control Officer, and have served the bank at the Lagos Head office and upcountry branches.  A recipient of Diamond Bank’s Best Internal Control staff award in 2005, he has attended several courses in Credit Risk Management, Problem Solving/ Decision Making Skill, and Leadership courses among others.

In August 2004, Sunday was seconded to Diamond Mortgages Ltd (a subsidiary of Diamond bank Plc). While on secondment, he acted as Head Finance & Operations and currently Head, Risk Management & Compliance, a position he holds till date.

Sunday graduated from the University of Benin in 1995 with a combined honour (second class upper division grade) in Public Administration and Political Science. 

He is also an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria.

Sunday is married with children.

Gbadamosi, Olawale – Human Capital Management & Admin Lead
Olawale started his career as human capital management with Diamond Bank Plc in June, 2001 where he was charged with the responsibilities of salary and benefits administration. He anchored the successfully implementation of Xceed TM Enterprise People Management Software for the Bank. He also functioned as the liaison officer with the bank’s tax consultants on all matters relating to staff’ tax and tax audit.

In May 2006, he was seconded to Diamond Mortgages Limited as the Human Capital Management/Admin Lead. Presently, he is responsible for the human capital management, Administration and corporate communication.

He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the Federal University of Ilorin, and a National Diploma in Public Administration from Kwara State Polytechnic, both from Kwara State. Currently, he is a student member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria.

He has attended many courses in the areas of Mastering human resource management, Competency profiling training, Competency based interviewing, effective communication and presentation, Quality customer services, tax audit investigation practice and adjudication and computer auditing.

Mba, Agu Kalu - Head, Bank-Wide Operations
A graduate of University of Nigeria with a First Class Honors in Mathematics.
Agu is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)-the global body for professional accountants. He is also an associate member of the Certified Pension Institute of Nigeria.
He is currently working on his research project for the award of a B.SC (Hons) degree in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University, Oxford, UK.

Before joining Diamond Bank Plc in 2001, Agu had a brief stint with the University of Nigeria as a graduate assistant. He worked in the operations department of Diamond Bank Plc before being seconded to Diamond Mortgages limited in 2006. At the moment, he is the Head, Banking Operations of DML

Agu is a recipient of the prestigious Diamond Bank Plc CEO’s Service Excellence Award in 2003.
He won the best graduating student award in the department of mathematics of University of Nigeria in 1999.
His hobbies include reading, singing, photography and soccer.

Oladele Amoniyan – Head, Information Technology
Amoniyan Oladele holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics. He is a Microsoft Certified System Engineer (M.C.S.E), Microsoft Certified System Administrator (M.C.S.A) and HP Certified Professional.

He started his IT career with Hardsoft Computer in year 2002 before joining Diamond Bank Plc in year 2003 and letter seconded to Diamond Mortgages from the bank as head of IT in year 2007.

Godfrey Ehichoya Inegbenose – Construction Design
Godfrey was born in Uromi in Esan East Local Government Area of Edo State, Nigeria. He holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc degrees in Architecture of Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma, Edo State. And he is at present, responsible for the construction design of the company’s projects.

Prior to his joining the services of DML, Godfrey worked in several architectural based companies including Bwanascape Consultants, Gomic Consults and Fezel Nigeria Limited as architect.

He is well skilled in design development and space planning, preparation of working drawings, specifications and schedules as well as supervision of all aspects of project construction etc.

Godfrey is married.

Anthony Edward Emeana – Head, Legal Unit
Tony is a seasoned legal practitioner with very wide experience and strong flair in managing general corporate litigation problems, credit analysis, evaluation and appraisal. He is very skilled in management and resolution of crises and very effective in prevention and reduction of issues that may impact negatively on corporate image and existence and as well as result in undue legal and financial liability on the company. Has acquired extensive knowledge and skill in business and contract negotiations

He studied law at Imo State University where he graduated with Second class honours and the Nigeria Law School, Abuja and subsequently called to the Nigerian Bar. Tony is currently undergoing a Masters Degree programme of the University of London and has attended advanced law courses organized by the Nigeria Institute of Advanced Legal Studies.

He is a member of the Nigeria Bar Association; member, Institute of Mediators and Arbitrators as well as student member, Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administration. He has also attended several courses and seminars in private and corporate legal practice especially in the areas of drafting of local and International Partnership / Contractual agreements, Joint Venture agreements, management and assessment of National Housing Trust Fund Loan Scheme, Real property and mortgage laws, Land Use Reform workshops organized by the IFC/World Bank in conjunction with some State Governments.

He started active private legal practice in January 2001 before joining the Legal Department of the then Dominium Building Society Limited (DBSL) in 2003. He transited to Diamond Mortgages Limited following acquisition of DBSL by Diamond Bank Plc. Tony is currently the Head, Legal Services.
